Journey to Montauk Point

From the noisy crazy melting-pot that is Queens, the I-495 runs through the whole length of Long Island ending at Montauk Point lighthouse -the eastern tip of Long Island and the Atlantic Ocean. The journey takes you through the suburbs of Nassau and Suffolk County leading to the chic Hampton Towns where the local jewellery store on the high street is Tiffany and Co. Small town chic gives way to vineyards, organic farms and small corn fields - a few lobster and clam bake shacks line the road. The sun is blinding in the blue sky - sand dunes are in the distance. We see the sea glittering in the sun on the horizon! From bumper to bumper on the highway, the cars become fewer and fewer. Soon, we are the only car left, driving to the edge of the land to meet the Atlantic Ocean waves.
